CAIRO, Ill. -- Traffic over the U.S. 51 bridge, which crosses the Ohio River between Cairo and Ballard County, Ky., has been reduced to one-lane traffic for the next month.
Only one lane of the bridge will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday for work on the bridge deck.
Motorists could have delays of up to 20 minutes.
Work started Friday and could continue four weeks, said a spokesman of the Kentucky Department of Transportation.
