Jackson city officials will be joined by business leaders and representatives of the Missouri Department of Transportation at 9 a.m. today to cut the ribbon for the South Old Orchard Road Improvement Project. The $472,345 construction project connects East Main Street at the new Interstate 55 interchange to Bainbridge Road. The 4,000-foot stretch of road has an 8-inch layer of asphalt to replace the old gravel and asphalt surface and the road has been widened.
