OAK RIDGE -- Michael Riehn of Oak Ridge has been awarded the rank of Eagle Scout, the highest award in scouting.

Riehn earned 25 merit badges in devoting 26 hours to completing his service project, landscaping at Oak Ridge High School. He leveled a commons area, spread ground cover, repaired benches and planted shrubs.

Riehn has been a member of Troop II for four years. The scoutmaster is Leo McElrath.

He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Stan Riehn of Oak Ridge.
