Cape Girardeau police work the scene of a two-car accident Wednesday, Jan. 22, 2014 along the southbound lanes of Highway 61 across from Cape County Park North. Police said the driver of a Lincoln crossed over toward Memorial Park and struck the southbound Ford Escape causing it to roll over, which came to rest upright.

Cape Girardeau police work the scene of a two-car accident Wednesday, Jan. 22, 2014 along the southbound lanes of Highway 61 across from Cape County Park North. Police said the driver of a Lincoln crossed over toward Memorial Park and struck the southbound Ford Escape causing it to roll over, which came to rest upright. The drivers of both cars, as well as two children passengers in the Ford, escaped injury. All were wearing seat belts and the curtain airbags deployed in the crash, police said. (Fred Lynch)
