No-burn order in effect due to wind

Due to wind gusts in the area expected to be between 30 and 40 mph, the Cape Girardeau Fire Department issued a no-burn order Thursday night until further notice.

This order includes limited burning permitted in city limits of limbs, leaves and other yard waste in a pile less than five feet in depth and height, according to a release from the fire department.
