Fifth-grade students from the Nell Holcomb School District were recently recognized for their participation in the Drug Abuse Resistance Education (DARE) program.
Officer Jeannie Daily of the Cape Girardeau Police Department worked with the students for about 12 weeks. Students learned drug-resistance techniques, the effects of peer pressure and how to say "no."
