Mystery photo gallery #33

We found this picture in the Sept. 5, 1957 Southeast Missourian. It shows Joan Godwin, daughter of John Godwin Jr., on her shetland pony that she won in a coin guessing contest at Ward's Big Star Super Market.

Aug. 17, 1960 Southeast Missourian. At the Day Camp now under way, Brownies are grouped into unit homes, where their chores are numerous. These girls have their individual containers of things they need and are checking them over to see that everything is at hand. Feb. 28, 1963 Southeast Missourian. Masks once worn by natives in African tribal rituals are included in an unusual collection of statues and masks, Dr. Clark Choffy brought back from his summertime visits in the Republic of South Africa. Miss Wanda Franklin and Robert Evans, students at State College, examine two of the souvenirs their instructor has in his collection. College students and faculty have enjoyed the collection displayed in a showcase at the Art and Economics Building. Dr. Choffy teaches government, including a course in African government. (G.D.
