Mystery photo gallery #19

Feb. 10, 1962 Southeast Missourian. Clothes make the difference between a polished performance and a deliberately corny routine for Mrs. James A. Kinder, left, and Mrs. Rush H. Limbaugh Jr. Wearing “a conglomeration of misfit clothes,” the two normally well-groomed women turn their musical talents to laugh-provoking “silly songs.” Here they wear such strange items of apparel as a 20-year-old hat, borrowed fur pieces, T-shirts, suit skirts of 10 years ago and a blonde wig used by children at Halloween. Thanks." From Frank Kinder: "From their looks and the scene, it would probably be in the early '60's, when they appeared with some regularity on the Breakfast Show to sing the silly songs. I remember those moments, but cannot recall how they were introduced -- did they have a name for the duo? Also, does anyone recognize that wood-paneled setting behind them?" From Peter Kinder: "Yep. Old Memorial Student Union at SEMO next to Academic Hall."
