Motorist killed

MORLEY, Mo. -- A Benton, Mo., man was fatally injured in a one-car accident Tuesday morning.

At about 6:30 a.m., David R. Ervin, 42, was northbound on U.S. 61, three miles south of Morley, when his vehicle ran off the left side of the road, struck a tree and overturned, authorities said.

Transported by helicopter to a Cape Girardeau hospital, Ervin was later ponounced dead.
