Freezing rain began falling again in the Cape Girardeau area just after 9 p.m. tonight, with temperatures hovering in the mid-20s, exaggerating already hazardous road conditions in the area.
The National Weather Service reported that areas of freezing rain could continue moving through the area until 11 p.m., glazing over roads and trees and causing travel hazards, particularly on bridges.
The frozen precipitation should be out of the area by morning, but morning travel could be quite slick.
