JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. -- Cape Girardeau County is among 18 more Missouri counties that will be eligible for federal assistance to recover from last month's floods. Gov. Matt Blunt announced Saturday that the Federal Emergency Management Agency had approved his request.
The other counties are: Audrain, Carroll, Chariton, Christian, Howard, Linn, Macon, Miller, Morgan, Nodaway, Pettis, Ray, Shelby, Stone, Sullivan, Taney and Vernon.
