COLUMBIA, Mo. (AP) -- The mother of a 2-year-old boy found dead in Columbia now faces child endangerment charges.
Twenty-six-year-old Keyonda Lumpkins is charged with endangering the welfare of a child in the first degree. She was in the Boone County Jail on Thursday morning.
An autopsy is scheduled for Thursday afternoon in the death of Cortez Johnson, which police call suspicious. Officials continue to search for the boy's father, 25-year-old Horace C. Johnson, for questioning.
