Missouri State Water Patrol identifies drowning victim

VAN BUREN, Mo. -- The Missouri State Water Patrol has identified the 14-year-old boy who drowned Sunday morning in the Current River as Nicholas Bosecker of Mounds, Ill. According to the water patrol, the boy was swimming with family members near Big Springs in Van Buren. The boy reportedly lost his shoe and dove in to get it. Bosecker was found floating about 200 yards from where he went under. He was recovered by a passing boater
