Mississippi River high Monday in region

ABOVE: A barge passes Thebes Landing in Illinois as it heads upriver Monday on the Mississippi River. According to the National Weather Service, the river level at Thebes was at 31 feet Monday and is expected to crest at 32 feet Wednesday morning.
