MINER, Mo. -- Voters in Miner decided during Tuesday's general election not to give a funding boost to the city's fire department.
In a 52-34 vote, Miner residents decided against enacting a quarter-cent sales tax for the operation of the municipal fire department.
Results, which are unofficial, were provided by Scott County Clerk Rita Milam.
