Johnson participating in war on terror
Navy Seaman Recruit Katherine D. Johnson, daughter of Helen and Roosevelt Johnson of Haywood City, Mo., recently departed on a routine scheduled deployment in support of the global war on terrorism, while assigned to the aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson, with a home port in Bremerton, Wash. Johnson is a 2004 graduate of Scott County Central High School who joined the Navy in July 2004.
