PATTON, Mo. -- Voters in the Meadow Heights School District rejected a proposed $1.9 million bond issue on Tuesday.

Sixty-one percent, or 392 votes, were against the proposal; 246 votes were in favor of the bond issue. A two-thirds majority was required for the issue to pass.

The bond issue would have paid for construction at the elementary building and renovations to the high school gym.
