Man shot in leg on Bloomfield Street in Cape

A shooting on Bloomfield Road early Saturday afternoon sent one man to the hospital and has Cape Girardeau police searching for a suspect.

According to police, officers responded to a call in the 1000 block of Bloomfield Street around 1:30 p.m. and found a man who had been shot in the lower left leg. Police said the man was taken to an area hospital and that his injury was not life-threatening. The incident is under investigation.
