MARYLAND HEIGHTS, Mo. (AP) -- A high school student and his 60-year-old grandfather graduate high school together in St. Louis County.
Darrell Vaughn left Pattonville High School more than 40 years ago, after being drafted to fight in the Army in Vietnam.
But when his grandson, Joseph Pollack, received his degree Thursday night, the grandfather was among a group of veterans honored too.
Vaughn received an American flag, a medal and his diploma.
