Jessica Eftink, 16, was taken to Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau with moderate injuries after the 9:15 p.m. accident. It occurred on Highway 51 in Patton.

Her sister, Taylor Eftink, 8, had minor injuries.
The driver was issued a summons for careless and imprudent driving.
