The board of trustees of Mesa State College in Grand Junction, Colo., Friday hired a university professor as the school's new president.
The board, meeting in Gunnison, chose Michael Gallagher, a professor of management at Idaho State University in Pocatello.
Gallagher was chosen over three other finalists, including Dr. Charles Kupchella, provost at Southeast Missouri State University.
