Harold Michael, 36, of Kennett was seriously injured when the motorcycle he was driving ran off the road and struck a tree, said the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The accident occurred at 1:15 p.m. on Route KK about 1 mile east of Interstate 55.
Michael was taken to Southeast Missouri Hospital.
