KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- A Jackson County grand jury has declined to file charges in a shooting at a store parking lot that injured two people, prosecutors announced Saturday.
The shooting happened Jan. 26 outside a Target in Independence, Mo. According to police, the gunman fired several shots at two other men as they got into their sport utility vehicle.
Under state law, grand jury deliberations are held in private and reasons for decisions are not released.
