ST. JOSEPH, Mo. -- In a case moved to St. Joseph for trial, a Kansas City woman has been acquitted of tampering with a witness at her son's Clay County murder trial.
Kim Jerdee, 39, was accused of offering Michael Morse marijuana to change his testimony at the murder trial of Brett Johnson.
Johnson is accused of helping plan the 1999 stabbing death of James Weber, 16. A jury which heard the case in July could not reach a verdict, and a second trial is scheduled for next month.
