Sen. John Ashcroft has nominated John Kenneth Johannes, a senior at Jackson High School, to the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, N.Y. He is the son of John and Joanna Johannes and is active in drama club, Future Business Leaders of America and band and has attained the rank of Eagle Scout in Boy Scouts. He also competes in cross country.
