  • The district's summer school program. The program is unchanged from last year and will serve students in grades kindergarten through 12.
  • Evaluations of the transportation program and food service programs, which were conducted by the heads of the departments. The evaluations outlined services provided and highlighted training for workers.
  • A special education local compliance plan. In 2004, the government reauthorized the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act. The state in turn made minor changes to state regulations, which the board approved. The changes pertain mostly to terminology, according to Dr. Beth Emmendorfer, the district's director of special services.
  • An A+ School Program Agreement. The board already approved the A+ Schools Program, which allows a student who meets eligibility requirements to receive money to attend a public community college. The board approved an agreement form outlining some of the requirements Tuesday, which include completing 50 hours of tutoring and graduating with a 2.5 GPA.
  • The board also recognized teacher David Wells, who received the Outstanding Service Citation Award from the National Association of Agricultural Educators. Wells is the FFA adviser at the high school.
