The Jackson High School Percussion Ensemble recently placed second in a national percussion competition. The competition, open to ensembles across the country, was sponsored by Black Swamp Percussion. To compete, groups submitted a videos of their performances. Jackson placed second behind an ensemble from Texas and won instruments. Earlier this year, the group also performed at the Missouri Music Educators Conference at Tan-Tar-A.
