• Hearing to consider the rezoning of 0.84 acres of property situated along the north side of West Independence Street from R-1, single-family residential, to C-2, general commercial, as submitted by K-Bar-K, L.L.C.
• Hearing to consider the request for voluntary annexation of 4.94 acres of property owned by Kenneth and Elwanda Seabaugh.

Power and Light Committee

• Consider a resolution adopting and reaffirming the city's compliance with the 1988 Fair Housing Amendments Act (Fair Housing Resolution) and authorizing the mayor to sign a proclamation regarding impediments to fair housing choice.
• Consider a resolution accepting the petition for voluntary annexation of 19.1 acres of property owned by the Southeast Medical Center Inc. and setting a public hearing for 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 4.
• Consider a bill proposing an ordinance authorizing a contractual agreement with Koehler Engineering and Land Surveying Inc. of Cape Girardeau relative to providing engineering services for the city of Jackson.
• Consider a bill proposing an ordinance accepting the dedication of a Hubble Creek Improvement District Easement Deed from Clark and Sons Excavating, L.L.C.

• Consider a bill proposing an ordinance approving the rezoning of 0.84 acres of property situated along the north side of West Independence Street from R-1 to C-2.
• Consider a bill proposing an ordinance approving the minor plat of Gourley's Subdivision as submitted by Linda Brown.
• Consider a motion accepting the bid of Apex Paving Co. of Sikeston in the amount of $71,830.70 relative to the 2001 Asphalt Street Improvement Program.
• Consider a bill proposing an ordinance authorizing a contractual agreement with Apex Paving Co. relative to asphalt street upgrades under the 2001 Asphalt Street Improvement Program.
