Power and Light Committee

• Consider a motion to approve the Semiannual Financial Statement ending June 30, 2001.
• Consider a motion to set a public hearing for Monday, Aug. 20, at 7:30 p.m. to consider the 2001 tax rates for parks and recreation, general revenue, cemetery and band.
• Consider a motion to set a public hearing for Monday, Aug. 20, at 7:30 p.m. to consider the 2001 library tax rate.
• Consider a bill proposing an ordinance approving the voluntary annexation of property owned by the Cape Special Road District.
• Consider a motion approving Change Order #1 in the amount of $1,698.46 relative to the power plant substation transformer addition project.
• Consider a motion accepting the audit report for the year ending Dec. 31, 2000, as prepared by Beussink, Hey and Roe, certified public accountants.

• Consider a motion to set a public hearing for Monday, Aug. 20, at 7:30 p.m. to consider the rezoning of 4.94 acres of property from R-1 (single family residential) to I-2 (heavy industrial) as submitted by Kenneth and Elwanda Seabaugh.
• Consider a bill proposing an ordinance authorizing a contractual agreement with Koehler Engineering and Land Surveying Inc. of Cape Girardeau relative to providing engineering services associated with the city's participation in the Community Development Block Grant Program.
• Consider a bill proposing an ordinance authorizing a contractual agreement with Southeast Missouri Regional Planning and Economic Development Commission contingent upon approval by the Department of Economic Development relative to providing administrative services associated with the city's participation in the Community Development Block Grant Program.
• Consider a bill proposing an ordinance authorizing a contractual agreement between Jackson and Midwest Sterilization Corporation relative to the respective parties' obligations for improvements under the Community Development Block Grant Program.
• Consider a bill proposing an ordinance amending the Stop street Schedule-Schedule VI, by adding certain stop street designations.
