• Approved an ordinance amending the 2007 City of Jackson annual budget.

Street committee

• Tabled until May 21 a motion: "Shall the Bill (#07-13) proposing an ordinance approving the abandonment of a portion of Shawn Drive, contingent upon the completion of the East Deerwood Drive bridge at U.S. Highway 61 North and the opening, for public vehicular traffic, of East Deerwood Drive from Greensferry Road to U.S. Highway 61 North pass, the objections of the Mayor thereto notwithstanding?"
• Approved an ordinance naming a portion of Westbrook Lane.
• Approved an ordinance naming County Roads 318, 330 and 450 as Benton Road, Charles Meier Road and Horrell Road.
• Approved an ordinance approving the final plat of Nine Oaks Third Subdivision, as submitted by Ronald G. Clark and Bobby G. Clark.
• Approved an ordinance amending the "Speed Limit Schedule -- Schedule V" by adding a designation on Oak Street.
• Approved an ordinance amending the "Parking Prohibited At All Times on Certain Streets Schedule -- Schedule IX" by adding designations on Westbrook Lane, Benton Road, Charles Meier Road and Horrell Road.
• Approved an ordinance amending the "Stop Street Schedule -- Schedule VI" by repealing designations on County Road 330 and County Road 450 and adding designations on Cathy Drive, Westbrook Lane, Ripken Way, Benton Road, Charles Meier Road and Horrell Road.
