• Approved an ordinance authorizing a contractual agreement with Trustmark Life Insurance Co., Lake Forest, Ill., regarding the 2007 employee insurance benefit.
• Approved an ordinance approving a contractual agreement with SM&P Utility Services Inc. of Carmel, Ind., regarding providing utility locations under the underground facilities locating and marking service agreement.
• Approved an ordinance approving the 2007 Jackson city budget.
• Approved an ordinance approving the 2007 Jackson city employee compensation plan.

Street Committee

• Approved the prioritized list of 2007 street improvements that are proposed to be funded using monies derived from the Cape Girardeau County Road and Bridge tax.
• Approved change order No. 2 for $7,594.20 to Fronabarger Concreters Inc. of Oak Ridge regarding the 2006 concrete street repair program.
• Approved Change order no. 2 for $40,974 to Fronabarger Concreters Inc. regarding the East Main Street extension project, phase 1.
• Approved the final plat of LeGrands First Subdivision submitted by Steven LeGrand.
• Approved the rezoning part of 615 E. Jackson Blvd. (part of lots 40 and 41 of Daley Hills Addition) from R-2 single family residential district to C-2 general commercial district submitted by Merlin and Julee Ann Williams.
• Approved an ordinance amending the "Parking Prohibited on Certain Streets at Certain Times Schedule -- Schedule X" by repealing and adding designations.
• Approved an ordinance amending the "Fifteen Minute, One Hour and Two Hour Parking Limit Schedule -- Schedule XVIII" by repealing and adding designations.
• Tabled until Jan. 8 consideration of the preliminary plat of Nine Oaks Subdivision submitted by R&B Developers LLC; Bobby and Jane Clark; and Ronald and Marcia Clark.
