IRONTON MAN DIES IN WRECK

A Des Arc, Mo., man died Sunday morning after his car left the roadway near Ironton, Mo., and struck a tree.

Billy J. Luten, 57, died at the scene of the single-car accident, which occurred on Highway 21, seven miles north of Ironton, around 10:15 a.m.

According to the Missouri Highway Patrol, the car Luten was driving left the road and struck a tree. A passenger, Lola Luten, 58, also of Des Arc, was taken by ambulance to Washington Memorial Hospital in Potosi with minor injuries.
