Interstate 55 in Cape County reduced for pavement repairs

Southbound Interstate 55 from two miles north of Route E to Route E in Cape Girardeau County will be reduced to one lane this week as Missouri Department of Transportation crews make pavement repairs.

Weather permitting, the work will begin at 7:30 a.m. Tuesday and will be completed by 4:30 p.m. Thursday. Signs will mark the work zone. Motorists are urged use caution while traveling near the area.
