INSPECTION OF RIVER BRIDGE WILL CAUSE TRAFFIC DELAYS

One lane on the Mississippi River bridge at Cape Girardeau will be closed weekdays from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. for the next two weeks.

The Missouri Department of Transportation will be conducting a routine inspection of the bridge. The inspection, which begins today, is expected to be concluded by Feb. 26.

MoDOT expects traffic delays of 10 to 15 minutes on the bridge.
