CHARLESTON, Mo. -- A slick roadway caused a Mound City, Ill. man to roll his vehicle early Saturday morning on Interstate 57.

Jerome D. Kizer, 23, suffered serious injuries, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Around 7:50 a.m., Kizer lost control of his 2005 Chevrolet Trailblazer on an icy bridge, struck a curb and overturned.

Kizer was taken by ambulance to Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
