ICY ROAD CLAIMS POPLAR BLUFF TEEN
POPLAR BLUFF -- One teen died and two others were injured Sunday when their car slid off an icy roadway and struck a tree, the Missouri Highway Patrol reported. POPLAR BLUFF -- One teen died and two others were injured Sunday when their car slid off an icy roadway and struck a tree, the Missouri Highway Patrol reported.
The driver, Tyler McKnight, 16, of Poplar Bluff, was pronounced dead at the scene.

His two passengers, Brian Green, 16, and Kenneth Howell, 15, both of Poplar Bluff, suffered moderate injuries and were taken to Lucy Lee Hospital.
The accident occurred at 7:15 p.m. on Butler County Road 470, two-and-a-half miles west of Poplar Bluff.
