I-57 bridge to close for repairs three days

SIKESTON, Mo. -- The Illinois Department of Transportation announced the closure of the Interstate 57 bridge over the Mississippi River beginning Aug. 16. The closure is anticipated to last three days as IDOT's contractor makes repairs to the bridge. Marked detour routes will be in place for north- and southbound traffic.
