About 900 AmerenUE electric customers lost power during Thursday night's thunderstorm.
High winds were suspected of downing power lines, which knocked out eletricity for Cape Girardeau-area customers, AmerenUE spokeswoman Erica Abbett said.
Power for the majority of residents was returned around 9 p.m., she said.
