EAST PRAIRIE, Mo. -- The Dorena-Hickman Ferry is closed because of high water on the Mississippi River, the Sikeston Standard Democrat reported. The river level forecast indicates the ferry will likely have to remain closed until late in the week.

The Dorena-Hickman Ferry connects Highway 1354 at Hickman, Ky., with Route A and Highway 77 near Dorena, Mo. The Dorena-Hickman Ferry operates from the Hickman Landing with regular crossings of the Mississippi River during daylight hours.
