The advisory goes into effect at 11 a.m. Saturday and expires at 7 p.m. Sunday. Temperatures combined with high humidity are expected to produce heat indexes of 105 degrees or higher.

Highs in Cape Girardeau are expected to reach 95 degrees Saturday and 97 degrees Sunday, according to weather service forecasts.
