Moore is the son of Charles and Patricia Moore of Cape Girardeau. He graduated from high school in Ramona, Calif., in 1988 and enlisted in the Navy the following September.
His ship was sttioned in Mayport, Fla., before being sent to Saudi Arabia.
After his enlistment, he plans to return to Cape Girardea and attend Southeast Missouri State University.
