GARDEN CLUB RECEIVES GRANT

The Ramblewood Garden Club of Cape Girardeau has been awarded a grant of $500 to be used for local projects dealing with community improvement. This grant is part of the PETALS program, a two-year program of environmental concern co-sponsored by the National Council of State Garden Clubs and Shell Oil Co.

The Ramblewood Garden Club plans to landscape the entrance of Washington School. The project's purpose is to create an environment that will instill pride in the school and neighborhood.
