FREDERICKTOWN MAN DIES IN TRAFFIC MISHAP
FREDERICKTOWN -- A 41-year-old Fredericktown man was killed Saturday night when his car left Route K a mile north of here. The Missouri State Highway Patrol identified the victim as Roy Ackman. The Missouri State Highway Patrol identified the victim as Roy Ackman.

Ackman's car was southbound on Route K when he attempted to pass another vehicle, the patrol said. His car left the roadway, and when he overcorrected, the car left the roadway and struck a tree.
Ackman was thrown from the vehicle as it overturned.
