FORMER CAPE RESIDENT EARNS SPORTS SCHOLARSHIP
Michael Whitney of Manchester, formerly of Cape Girardeau, has accepted a baseball scholarship to attend St. Louis University. He attended Central High School here, and is a 1991 graduate of Parkway West High School in St. Louis. Whitney was also offered scholarships from Meramec College at Kirkwood, and from a college in Los Angeles, Calif.
He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Whitney of Manchester, and grandson of Maurine Northcutt of Cape Girardeau.
