The Avenue of Flags was raised for display Saturday evening in Cape Girardeau County Park North ahead of Flag Day, June 14, 2020, in Cape Girardeau. During a Sunday morning ceremony, a total of 14 new flags were dedicated in memory of deceased Cape Girardeau County veterans. The new additions now join the 727 flags which had previously composed the Avenue of Flags.
