First Friday Preview for November

Here's a look at some of the pieces for Cape's First Friday in November.

The Arts Council will display some of the paintings from Dodi Conrad's series, "My Town," based on Marble Hill.

Untitled Gallery of Contemporary Art, at 116 N. Main St. in Cape Girardeau, will have a soft opening for First Friday with a Grand Opening next month. Operators hope that it will be a venue for students to display their work.

"Snowy Silence" by Linda Buis took Best Of Show for the Regions Bank Juried Exhibition 2007 and will be on display at the Arts Council. There were over 100 entries from 33 artists.

Colombian-born Ruben Dario Monsalve now lives and works in Costa Rica. "Art has taken me to many wonderful places throughout my life," he said in his native spanish tongue, photographed Monday, October 29, 2007. His work is featured with Kristopher Naeger this Friday at Gallery 125.
