MIDDLE GROVE, Mo. (AP) -- Authorities say two people are dead after a house fire in northeast Missouri.

State Fire Marshal's Office investigator Bill Albus said Madison firefighters called to the home at about 5 a.m. Tuesday said the structure was fully engulfed in flames.

Albus said the cause of the fire is under investigation.

The names and ages of the victims have not been released, pending completion of an autopsy by the Monroe County coroner's office.
