Fire burns brush, home in Cape Girardeau County

Crews from East County, Cape Girardeau and Fruitland fire departments battle a house fire at 2294 Highway V just east of Oriole Friday afternoon. The homeowner and her two youngest children were home when the fire started in the brush outside her home. She vacated the home with her children and the fire then spread to the rear of the house and the surrounding hillside. No one was injured.
