HICKMAN, Ky. (AP) -- A Mississippi River ferry between western Kentucky and Missouri that had closed last month because of high water has reopened.
A Kentucky Transportation Cabinet spokesman says the Dorena-Hickman Ferry resumed service Wednesday but will only operate Wednesdays through Sundays until July 1 to try to save operating expenses.
The ferry is the only way to cross the river between Kentucky and Missouri without going into another state.
