SALEM, Mo. -- The former pastor of a church that burned down in January pleaded guilty Monday to felony stealing counts.

David Cartee, 33, of Arnold, Mo., entered the pleas in Dent County as part of a deal with prosecutors, who dropped charges that he forged the names of a church elder on two checks for personal use.

The case has been transferred to Dent County from Crawford County on a change of venue.
